Artist's Comments

My vision (so far).
There is actually no separation between good and evil since they are two faces of the same coin. Therefore, I preferred to put there good and bad feelings, and also things that create such emotions in each of us. Notice that some words are in both sides... :giggle:

Hope you enjoy. It took me almost 6 hours to make it (never done this kind of stuff before), so favs and comments are highly appreciated :thanks:

*UPDATE*: I added the beveled effects, as well as cleaned the overlaps (thanks to *MortenG for the suggestions). Oh, and added a few more words, to fill some spaces :)

I think your idea with this image is very good, and the words fits very well together. Also this is nothing i've seen befor, it have been done with other sort of figures, but never the ying&yang symbol. There is a few overlaps of some words here and there that disturbs the picture abit, BUT, in the big picture, its not a that big deal, it looks great as it is, thoes overlaps are considered as "minor details" ;)

If you would like to improve this picture abit, not that its a need, but if you feel like getting more out of it, i could suggest that you put it into some kind of beveled (3D) coin or talisman. with some glass effect on , then you might also be able to use it as a logo or avatar.

Bottom line is, Its a great pice of art ! but if you ask me, it needs a finishing touch as i wrote above :)

This is very good. I think that this is a wonderful deviation. It is much better than mine, which I'm going to submit in a few days. Something I am wondering is why you put in time, anxiety, and sausage in the evil side. Time isn't always a bad thing, because it could be soon or something. Anxiety could be worry, but it could also be a strong want for something, which could be good. Sausage would only be true if you are either a vegeterian, or hate cruelty to animals, which in that case, would be very strong. Overall, this is a nearly perfect description of good vs. evil. Much better than mine :3

To be an annoying commentor - the yin in yin-yang is not "evil"; it's just dark.

E FOARTE TARE! Bravo!

I know yin is not evil, these are just two different qualities of the same thing. Just like good and evil. People tend to make a clear separation between things (this is duality). The night is commonly associated with "darkness"(in all forms), mysteries, and whatnot evil, while the day is "good". I could ramble 100 pages on this subject but i'll stop here :lmao:

Wikipedia says: Yin is usually characterized as slow, soft, insubstantial, diffuse, cold, wet, and tranquil. It is generally associated with the feminine, birth and generation, and with the night. Yang, by contrast, is characterized as hard, fast, solid, dry, focused, hot, and aggressive. It is associated with masculinity and daytime.

So, I have chosen this symbol to express the duality between good and evil, in a simple way. In all evil there is something good (it was very hard for me to find something really evil that doesn't have anything good in it. Even poison is used for cures, and so on. On the other way, in all good there may be something evil.
